Radamès in Aida at Washington National Opera
Mr. Smith opens his 2025/26 season with performances as Radamès in Verdi’s Aida at Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center. The tenor debuted the role last season in Rouen, where Res Musica commented, “tenor Adam Smith is no less convincing in the role of Radamès, which he assumes with bravery, courage and a certain dose of tenderness, beginning in Act I with a magnificent " Celeste Aïda ", showing off his solar timbre with perfectly held piercing high notes.”
In Washington DC, he performs opposite Jennifer Rowley as Aida and Raehann Bryce-Davis as Amneris, while Kwamé Ryan conducts.
While in DC, he was interviewed about the role for Good Day DC:
Performances are the 24th, 26th, 29th, and 30th of OCTOBER, and the 1st of NOVEMBER.
